The "Trix"
On Thursday, April 29 1948 at 6:30 pm a Norwegian frighter the Lovdal cut down the Administratix, 25 miles east of Cape Race, Newfoundland. The Administratix was owned by a group of Grand Bank businessmen, including her Master, Captain Charles Forsey. After the collision the Lovdal's crew remained at the scene in hopes of picking up some survivors, but they only succeeded in finding Mate; George Barnes and Cook; Charles Fizzard. The victims were Capt. Charles Forsey, George Samuel Welsh, Arch Rose, Robert Lee and my Grandfather, Harvey Keating all of Grand Bank, Newfoundland.
