Russell Lake
Lost at sea, March 16, 1929. The Russell Lake struck Small's Island near Burgeo on her way to Oporto with a load of fish. My Great Grandmother's brother, George Witherall of Fortune, was one of the five bodies recovered. The sailors were dashed against the rocks before they could be saved.
