Ria
On November 16, 1931, on her way back to Grand Bank from Cadiz, Spain, the crew in a severe storm abandoned the Ria. My Gt. Gt. Uncle George Samuel Welsh, who later drowned along with my Grandfather Keating on the Trix, was picked up with the crew by the SS Aztec in Mid-Atlantic. Among the survivors was William Keating, a brother to my Grandfather Keating.
